THE ROLE OF VIRTUAL TOURISM IN THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRY

Summary

Among the new types of tourism today - virtual tourism is special, when the virtual becomes real, and the real - virtual. The paper is dedicated to such a popular problem today as tourism in general, and its virtual form in particular.

The author compares the classic and virtual types of tourism, discusses the pros and cons of each of them, as well as emphasizes the special importance of virtual tourism as the most convenient and comfortable service for travelers in a pandemic. It is also noted that the development of virtual tourism is unthinkable without digital technologies.

Georgia is also trying to keep pace with world innovations and, as far as possible, use the surname "Second Life". In addition to interactivity, speed and unlimited access, the Internet has created a prerequisite for the emergence of such an innovative and paradoxical event in tourism as `Virtual Tourism`,` Virtual Excursions`, 3D Excursions, 3D Panoramas, 3D Tours. The paper also discusses the current state and future prospects of VR tourism development in Georgia.
